The MacDougall Family Page
The MacDougall family has been traced back to Archibald MacDougall born in Scotland June 20, 1784. We believe he traveled to Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1810, but do not know the name of the ship.
Archibald MacDougall married Louisa Ladner (born December 31, 1796) in 1815. They had 12 children. Duncan, Edmund, Allan, Andrew, Margaret, Martin, Samuel, John, Sophia, Donald, George and Ewan. I have complete information for all but Allan, if you are interested.
Edmund was born on P.E.I. September 1, 1818. He married Jessie MacEachern (born 1826) and had four children, Archibald, Colin, Margaret and Duncan. After Jessie's death in 1854, Edmund married Annie Matilda Lane. They had three children. Allan, Sophia and John Archibald.
Colin MacDougall was born in 1848. He married his cousin Mary Anne MacDougall (born 1851). They had three children, Jessie, Martin and Elizabeth, who all died of illness in 1879. They then had four more children, Elizabeth (born the same year her sister died), Duncan, Jane and Edmund.
Mary Anne MacDougall died in 1885. After her death, Colin married Elizabeth Hume (born July 8, 1867). They had 13 children. Margaret, George, William Grant, James, Peter, John Compton, Donald Campbell, Mary Ellen, Eunice, Charles Hume, Frances, Eva Pearl and Florence Lottie.
Eunice MacDougall was born November 30, 1902 in Prince Edward Island, Canada. As a young adult, she came to the United States. The day she arrived she met James Victor Boyce. They married July 4, 1924 and had three children; James Victor, Jr., Elizabeth Genevieve and Eva Pearl.
